Londres et Paris, le 22 mai 2014 : Nissan et Sony Computer Entertainment Europe sont déjà partis à la recherche du prochain pilote qui passera du virtuel au réel auprès de joueurs du monde entier qui cherchent à améliorer leurs temps au tour sur GT®6 afin d'accéder à la manche suivante du concours de la GT Academy NISMO PlayStation®. Le défi GT Academy sur Facebook offre désormais aux joueurs qui rêvent de devenir pilotes de course une nouvelle voie pour y parvenir.

 

Disponible exclusivement sur Facebook, le défi GT Academy est un jeu passionnant basé sur le pilotage et qui fait appel à certaines compétences spécifiques aux pilotes de course. Un classement affichera les meilleurs scores, et les joueurs éligibles de chaque pays en haut de ce classement seront invités à une épreuve wild-card GT®6 exclusive où ils s'affronteront sur le célèbre jeu de simulation de pilotage. Les meilleurs remporteront une place pour leur Finale territoriale aux côtés de ceux qui se seront qualifiés via les manches qualificatives en ligne sur GT®6 ainsi que de ceux qui auront gagné leur place via des Épreuves Live locales. Ils seront tous mis à l'épreuve à travers des défis de jeu, de pilotage, de médias et physiques.

 

Et tout ça pourrait n'être qu'un début. Ceux qui sortiront des Finales de territoire accéderont au Race Camp européen, qui aura lieu sur le circuit de Silverstone, emblème du sport automobile britannique. Les finalistes devront montrer de quoi ils sont capables sur le circuit ainsi qu'en dehors. Et c'est à l'issue de ce défi d'une semaine que sera couronné le champion de la GT Academy de cette année. L'enjeu est énorme, car le grand gagnant aura l'opportunité de devenir un véritable pilote de course pour Nissan. Il recevra un entraînement intensif de trois mois pour se préparer à courir avec Nissan aux 24 heures de Dubaï en janvier 2015.

 

Les diplômés de la GT Academy ont accompli de grandes choses en tant qu'athlètes NISMO avec l'appui de l'écurie Nissan, et 2014 promet d'être une nouvelle année passionnante. Ce mois-ci, le champion de 2011, Jann Mardenborough a participé à sa première course en GP3 au sein du calendrier de la Formule 1® !

 

Usama Al-Qassab, vice-président du marketing produit chez Sony Computer Entertainment Europe a déclaré : « la GT Academy consiste à trouver un véritable talent du pilotage parmi un immense vivier de joueurs ultrarapides. Toutefois, nous sommes conscients que tous les joueurs ne possèdent pas GT®6. Nous leur donnons ainsi une voie alternative pour participer et pour s'amuser. Ils devront tout de même prouver de quoi ils sont capables sur GT®6 pour passer à l'étape suivante. »

 

Le défi GT Academy est accessible à tous sur Facebook jusqu'au 16 juin. Les gagnants éligibles seront avertis via Facebook peu de temps après la date de clôture. Ils seront alors invités à une journée de jeu qualificative exclusive dans leurs pays respectifs.

 

Quiconque possède le jeu GT®6 peut aussi se qualifier pour sa Finale de territoire via la manche qualificative sur GT®6 (disponible avec la mise à jour 1.06). Les qualifications sur GT®6 sont ouvertes jusqu'à 8 h 59 (heure de Paris) le 16 juin et accessibles à tous ceux qui possèdent un ID PSN (PlayStation®Network) et une copie de GT®6.

About GT Academy 2014

GT Academy is a collaboration between PlayStation® and Nissan that uses the virtual world of the Gran Turismo®6 game to unearth real-world racing talent. Now in its sixth year, GT Academy includes separate competitions for Europe (France, Italy, UK, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Russia, Sweden, Poland and Czech Republic), Germany, USA and a new International group (Australia, India, Middle East, Mexico and Thailand).

 

The GT Academy qualification round will be part of a free Gran Turismo®6 update on PlayStation®3 (terms and conditions apply). The fastest gamers in each participating territory gain access to their region's National Final event. A number of competitors can also gain access via a series of Live Gran Turismo events organised locally, and via a Facebook game entry mechanism that leads to a special GT6TM qualifying event. The National Finals add driving, fitness and a media element to the gaming.

 

From National Finals, the action moves to Silverstone for the legendary Race Camp, where the competitors are put through their paces on track in Nissan sports cars under the watchful eyes of high profile judges and mentors. One winner from each competition will be invited to take part in the intensive Driver Development Programme. They could qualify for an international race license and race for Nissan at the Dubai 24 Hours in January 2015, before potentially joining Nissan's elite NISMO Athletes.

 

Previous winners of GT Academy are now regular racing drivers. In 2014, Jann Mardenborough (UK, winner in 2011) will be racing in GP3, a feeder series to Formula One, with the championship-winning Arden International team. Lucas Ordoñez (Spain, winner in 2008) will be racing in the Le Mans 24 Hours this year in the innovative Nisan ZEOD RC, alongside Wolfgang Reip (Belgium, winner in 2012). In 2013, Lucas won the Pro-Am Drivers Championship in the Blancpain Endurance Series. The 2013 Champions, Stanislav Aksenov (Russia), Miguel Faísca (Europe), Nick McMillen (USA) and Florian Strauss (Germany) are competing in the Blancpain Endurance Series with the Nissan GT Academy Team RJN.
